We taking shipping very seriously!  So when something is labeled or known to be a HAZMAT item we have to take special care.  This attention carries an additional charge so when your items is on the list you can expect to see a HAZMAT fee on your invoice.

Hazmats are items labeled as follows:

• Hazmat Fee $10
• Fragile Fee $10
• Customs receipt request fee $10 (This needs to be requested prior to shipment received at our Miami facility)
• Consolidation fees under 15lb is $10, 15lb up to 74.99lbs $15, 75lbs to 110lbs $20, over 110lbs to 150lbs is $25 and over 150lbs is $30
• Insurance 1% on item costs inclusive of shipping and vendor tax.
• Items over 10lbs add $10

Often times packages come in boxes beyond the sized needed to keep the item secured.  When possible we will repack the item for you free of charge.  However, if the package needs to be repacked and is time consuming we may add a service charge no higher than $5 to do this.  Otherwise the package will be shipped as is.

There are two ways to obtain the weight which calculates the freight cost. Dimensional or Actual.

• Dimensional weight is calculated by the measurement of a box.
• Actual weight is the number seen on the scale when the box is placed on it.

We calculate the freight cost by using whichever is higher multiplied by per pound rate. This is industry standard.
